SingTel wanted to showcase AR whilst bringing snow and seasonal cheer to their customers as part of a “30 days of Christmas” campaign. Kudan created a seasonal animation that was overlaid on the camera view, immersing users in a snowy winter environment on top of their surroundings. “All AR should be shareable”.
Whilst the functionality doesn’t push the bounds of AR capability, the important development here is recording and sharing the experience. Users can for the first time record a video of themselves enjoying the AR experience and share this via their social networks, SMS and email. SingTel invites you to enjoy some Magic this Christmas by allowing you to create a festive video that you and your friends can star in and then share with your friends via Facebook or email.
